BBC Sport - 2010 Winter Olympics Inuit Animation
Just got across with this animation for BBC 2010 Olympic Winter Animation and it's awesome!! The animation is done by Studio AKA in London. Not only the fact they did the seamless transformation through out the whole animation, but they also capture the essence of some iconic winter Olympic sports......love the curling part!! haha

Sculpt more Photorealistic, Max Wahyudi
As you can see from my last post, I'm having difficulty of working on the face part of MJ(if you didn't notice). Especially it's actually quite difficult to find some nice references of young MJ. But first off I felt I need to do more research on how to create more realistic character. So I started to do some research online regarding of how to make realistic model, especially on an actual person. Came across this tutorial, Making of Photorealistic Actress in 3D, on CG-India.org. The tutorial itself contained more than just simple modeling the character but also about rendering and texturing. Tutorial is created byMAX Wahyudi, who got a lot of talents on creating realistic models. He also have another tutorials on this Korean actress Song Hye Kyo, which is another awesome tutorial!! So if you ever wonder how other people did it. check it out!

Skywalker update 5
hello guys, haven't really able to work on the project for awhile. But finally got some time over this pass weekend and work on some UV mapping in Maya and sculpting in zbrush....
Nothing really fancy here. I usually select section of the faces I want to UV first and then use camera base to generate UV. After that typical edge spliting and utilize the unfold & relax tools in UV editior to get the UV to the place I want.

Start again with the sculpt again. I mostly use the claytube, move, inflat, and standard brushes to sculpt in zbrush. As far right now those is only the brushes i use. I don't really use other brushes unless i really need to :)

.
-not really having great time to sculpt the face T_T can't really find good references online....just have to keep working on it........off to the bed!!

Octoalien
Just start sculpted this model out of the blue this saturday......trying to get away from the skywalker model...mmmm, so base mesh is all done in zbrush 3.5 took around 5 to 6 hours. End render is a composited image with all different default zbrush shader and painting in Photoshop CS4. I took about an hour or so to composited the image. I was pretty happy with the "wet-look" at the end. Let me know what you think....

Trollback Reel Montage 2010
Trollback + Company just updated a new montage for 2010....and i have to say it's awesome. These day I am really enjoy the work with clean style but yet complex. They definitely achieved that on their works. Especially on the Nickelodeon's branding section, the style and the work really match the personality of the channel. It's just awesome works.....check it out.

Skywalker update 4
so today i finalize with the body model and model the rough pant structure. Both pant and the shirt is done by boxing poly technique, and brought back to zbrush to smooth the edges....nothing fancy. oh and I also did a fancy presentation style board, in case if you didn't notice :D
-next stop the UV mapping T_T
Damir G Martin
Just came across with another awesome CG Artist, Damir G Martin. I found Damir from one of CGArena's tutorial that he is giving out(well 2 tutorials). His tutorial gave out great senses of understanding the tools he is using. Although most of his work is heavy dinosaurs related....but it is still great.

Skywalker update 3
update again -_- kind of tired of the day.....anyhow got back to Maya and reposition the model with a reference image in the back....which makes me to realize how off the model is compare to the actual pose. Following that I start working on the top of the team uniform in low rez, brought it back in zbrush to reposition it, and then brought it back again to Maya

-comparison of the new and old body

-rough box model of the shirt

-brought it to zbrush to reposition the vertex and smooth of the model

-finally back in maya again
....k i need to catch some sleep now -_-zzzzz
